Mortuus, why not talk to a few of the more developed bots to get a sense of what people might say to yours, and what you can do with responses?
I'll put in a plug for my bot Simulo...
Anyway, once you've done that, try writing a couple of kinds of keyphrases:
"Basic grammar" -- things like "I am (adjnoun)" or "Do you want to (verb)," which you can rank low --
and "Knowledge" -- like "Spock" or "Elvis Costello" -- which you'd want to rank higher.
I hope that's helpful.

Mortuus: start with simple conversational stuff, like answers to 'What's up?' and 'are you,' 'do you,' stuff like that. Also you should create lots and lots of responses under xnone, because no one--I mean no one--can catch all the possible things a human or bot will say to your bot.
Shady, I don't like to assume ANYTHING, after the big potential faux pas that GL almost carried all the way into the Loebner contest. ('Let's blow this joint' just means 'Let's get out of here' to an American like me.) I imagine 'on the pull' refers to an activity that authority figures used to say causes blindness and hairy palms, but I assume nothing.

Courtesy of english2american.com:
pull v. The art of distracting the opposite sex. Pulling is conceptually very similar to hooking up. To be on the pull is a less proactive version of sharking. Single males and females are almost all on the pull but will deny it fervently and pretend to be terribly surprised when eventually it pays off.

On the pull means that you are out looking for women or men. It's English slang.
