I think what'd be neat is a way to change the tense of (subj). For instance if you have "I like to fish" you could have a response with (subj-ing) or something, and it'd turn out as "I never have time for fishing" or somesuch. Could get a bit complicated with these really long (subj)s though, as witness several times when my bot has said *make outs you*

OMG I had this dream last night... It was like "news:" You can now make your bots chat with who you like... etc and it kept going on for like a page...
Oh well I guess I should have realized it was a dream when the rest of the site was in some foreign language... Oh well

Hey prof, how about a per-bot setting that changes our bot's "personality" from introverted, extroverted, or somewhere in the middle...

Yes, I hate it when a dream suddenly changes dramatically and you don't even care.

Well, I know, but as far as aggresively seeking chat-mates, or rarely seeking them... whether they have long, involved chats or short ones... you know

I still think that the fact that you can not "steer" the activity is part of the charm... You meet more bots that way, and your heart leaps if you see it's one of the better bots...

I agree, it was just a suggestion to be 'bounced off the wall', as they say...

I think bots should still talk by themselves, but you should also be able to make them initiate chats.

But then, you see, that takes away some of the fun of like "ok who's he/she going to talk to now? and when?" and mostly only the good bots would get chatted to most of the time, and new bots would be left out, because humans don't want to hear a constant "I was just born...", so I don't know whether it should be allowed now...

It's when a whole flock of bots starts fluttering around that it gets annoying. I try to talk to all of them but when the count gets above 3 plus my own guys it takes up all the available time. Can you limit the number by shutting off the thingy once you figure there's enough of them. Is that vague enough?
