I started to wonder, when your tentacles started turning maroon and you made a 'fuzzy' sound

The best way to sort out your hallucinations is with the daisy test. You know: "she loves me, she loves me not..."
"Fizzy Schizoid's real, Shadyman's not...." that kind of thing.
The only problem is how do you know you've got hold of a real daisy?
Sorry. It's just the tequila talking. and the datura.

On the car thing, I am particularly interested in the root for firetrucks one. Of course where I come from, root has an entirely different meaning from those listed.
Oh and watch out for that flying daisy Steve, I don't think it should be grinning at you like that.

Root also means to work hard. It's also the part of the plant that's below ground and Root is the last name of Elihu Root, secretary of state from 1905-1909.

Normally I would never have known about the secretary of state thing, but I looked in the dictionary...

Just to clarify, in Australia 'to root' is a slang term used interchangeably with 'to f*ck'.
I've always derived a great deal of amusement whenever I've heard an American say something about 'rooting for the home team'.
