Ok prof (Do you mind me calling you that? ), my message is sent off telling them to read the messages from Benji Adams. I've done all I can, if we get no reply then we could start a petition or something. (I'm pretty smart for a kid, aren't I?)

are you proposing that the Cartoon Network signs up for mondobot? That would make the Personality Forge pretty damn famous..........

good idea.

botbuilder king: who said kids weren't smart?

20 years ago #96
Nobody. I'm just proving the point for people who say kids are smart.

I'm new here. That sounds like a great idea but i will tell you right now... it can also cause problems.
Not only will there be a lot of kids on there slowing the servers, there are adult chatbots on there that anyone can access! That is not a good thing... it might have a warning saying they are Adult, but that doesn't do anything to stop them.

Nothing short of a parent standing over their shoulders will stop any kid with half a brain from looking at things that they probably shouldn't.

Welcome to the internet.

That is true, but that doesn't stop those parents (who do not parent) from suing a company that provides adult information that a kid can access. I don't know all the details but I am never asked my age when i log in and can talk to any bot here, from E-Ao.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great idea to have kids use these sites and learn about AI and all, I just want to bring up something that might be a problem in the future so we can avoid it.

I mean look at GTA. Yes they did something stupid by adding that scene, but the parents that are suing them are upset cause their kids are looking at this... their kids who are not old enough to be playing a rated M game as it is. Parents do not parent anymore, well some do very good jobs, but too many of them let their kids get away with too much. I had to stop a freend from buying that same game (before the uproar) for her 10 yr old kid. After I told her what's in it, she brought it back and got him a football game.
I'm just saying, I want this site to be successful but you might want to consider another way to access the Adult information so kids won't run into easily.

Yes, it's ok for anyone 17 to kill innocent bystanders with machine guns, blow up cop cars with over the shoulder missile launchers, and evade the police because you're a wanted terrorist, but once somebody makes a patch to unlock explicit content, think of the children! Know what's funny...Rockstar Games said they're going to provide a version of GTA:San Andreas with that stuff out. Could you imagine a parent saying, "Johnny, it's ok for you to kill civilians, but you can't see locked sexual content availible though a third party. I got this edited version for you."

lol... Just keep it out of hands of young children period...
